Electrical power is essential for economic development and for improving the quality of life. It is the key input to any economic activity in industry, agriculture, trade, commerce or the service sector. A rapidly developing economy like ours faces an ever-increasing demand for electrical power. There has been tremendous improvement and augmentation in capacity addition and transmission and distribution network since independence.
However, we still have significant shortage of power supply in our country. All of us face the ever-increasing problem of power cuts, or no power supply.
